Mel and Mat booked their small wedding at Bedruthan Hotel. The Hotel is located on the North Coast of Cornwall between Newquay and Padstow. A short walk down the hill and you will arrive at Mawgan Porth beach. Mat and Mel chose this particular hotel as they had previously stayed their several times and had fallen in love with it. The hotel is very modern styled and has a spa within it. The venue is a four star hotel known for its contemporary colour pop interiors and beachside setting.
Mel and Mat had planned a small, intimate wedding with only family and close friends invited. I arrived early in the morning and already, the sun was high in the sky. After several days of rainfall, today was going to be a beautiful day. On arrival to the hotel the ladies were part way through bridal preparations –
The ceremony was at 1pm and the Father of the bride arrived shortly before to walk his daughter down to Matt who was patiently waiting for Mel to arrive. They had both planned to marry in the Garden room that was located within the hotel. This room was perfect for small intimate weddings. It’s a modern styled room that couples can decorate themselves. It was decorated beautifully –
The Garden room had views across the ocean. It was perfect. Mel and Mat were both very relaxed during the ceremony. The registrar was really quirky and fun. She entertained everyone through out –
After the ceremony, canopy’s and drinks were served in the private garden. This was the perfect garden space away from the other guests surrounded by native plants –
Before we went for some location portraits down at the beach Mel and Mat wanted to have a few pictures using the long grass that surrounded the hotel –

Mel and Matt had a fantastic day. Everything was perfect. In my opinion throughout the location session it felt like we were on a beach in the Caribbean. The Hotel and surrounding settings was absolutely stunning.
